KD Healthcare Co., Ltd., the operator of Korea’s leading fitness brand SpoAny, held a launch showcase for its new and innovative fitness model, SpoAny Smart.
The showcase was attended by fitness industry professionals, IT healthcare experts, related business partners, media journalists, and investors, marking a successful event.
Alicon Inc., a collaborator in this project, delivered a presentation on the topic of ‘100 Fitness Centers Operated by One Person,’ highlighting SpoAny Smart as the first case in Korea to apply autonomous space operation AI to fitness facilities. The presentation covered the emerging trend of unmanned space management and automated customer service across all industries.
SpoAny’s presentation, titled ‘The Birth of SpoAny Smart,’ shared the story behind this new initiative and the changes it aims to bring.
Born out of in-depth consideration of current fitness issues and what customers truly desire, SpoAny Smart offers a system where users pay based on usage, complemented by a simple monthly subscription payment model.
In particular, SpoAny Smart addresses the needs of customers who prefer working out early in the morning or on weekends and those who are more motivated when a gym is nearby. The facility operates 24/7 year-round, creating a new fitness lifestyle by shortening the pre- and post-workout process and making fitness an integral part of daily life.
Members can use SpoAny Smart freely for up to one hour per day with a basic subscription fee of 20,000 KRW per month. For additional use beyond one hour, users can pre-register their credit card for an automatic charge of approximately 1,000 KRW per 30 minutes after each session. All processes, including entry, payment, and workout time management, are accessible through a dedicated app. Additionally, an AI-based autonomous operation system optimizes indoor air quality and humidity.
The innovative ‘SpoAny Smart Jangandong Branch’ is set to officially open to the public on June 17. As part of the launch promotion, subscribers will receive additional membership periods and gifts.
