Alicon (CEO Minhee Cho) announced on the 17th that it has unveiled the AI-operated fitness center, ‘SpoAny Smart.’

SpoAny Smart is a new fitness model from KD Healthcare (CEO Kyung-deok Kim), which operates Korea’s leading fitness brand, SpoAny.

The service allows users to access an AI-operated fitness center 24/7 throughout the year for a subscription fee of 20,000 KRW per month.

Alicon’s ASA (Alicorn SpaceAI) autonomously manages SpoAny Smart, replacing traditional fitness center trainers. It monitors indoor air quality and humidity, automatically adjusting heating and cooling systems to optimize the environment. In case of emergencies, it detects and alerts the manager in real-time.

With ASA, tasks that previously required more than 10 people can now be efficiently managed by just one.

Users can easily select services, make payments, gain access, and check workout time statistics through a dedicated app. They can also receive push notifications tailored to their usage patterns, such as workout reminders and revisit encouragements. Managers can monitor real-time data on membership numbers, visitor counts, and monthly revenue through a dashboard.

During the launch showcase of SpoAny Smart’s first branch in Jangandong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, on June 13, Lee Chang-hoon, head of Alicon’s Work Platform Group, presented how ASA autonomously operates SpoAny Smart.

Lee demonstrated ASA’s capabilities within the fitness center and showcased the SpoAny Smart app, stating, “Anyone who wants to exercise can register, make payments, and create entry passes through the dedicated app at any time. The monthly subscription service allows for flexible registration and cancellation.

Since AI handles all aspects of space operation and management, one person can manage up to 100 locations.

We plan to continuously enhance ASA to support the successful operation of over 1,000 SpoAny Smart branches within the next two years.
