Alicorn was established to address the evolving needs of the modern space management market. With the challenges posed by declining population, rising labor costs, and the surge in demand for contactless services due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the necessity for automation and unmanned operations in space management has become more pronounced. Existing space management services were fragmented, handling functions such as payments, access, and space control separately, lacking an integrated platform. The founding members of Alicorn, who accumulated extensive experience through Seoul National University’s prestigious startup club and secured accolades in numerous startup competitions, recognized this gap. To address this, they developed a unique HW/SW integrated control technology applicable to diverse environments such as offices, indoor sports facilities, and unmanned accommodations, leading to the creation of Alicorn.

Alicorn SpaceAI

Alicorn pioneered the establishment of more than 12 ‘Jibmusil’ shared offices, specifically designed for remote workers and dispersed within residential areas. Unlike traditional shared offices, Jibmusil required 24/7, year-round efficient operation. To meet this demand, Alicorn developed a comprehensive dashboard capable of monitoring and controlling all aspects of the space, with the ability to operate autonomously through AI. The AI continuously monitors the space and, for instance, automatically turns off the lights when the last occupant leaves. It also detects unauthorized access, sends real-time alerts, and supports water leakage and CO2 level monitoring along with automated ventilation. Thanks to this technology, Alicorn has managed to efficiently operate multiple 24-hour shared offices with just a single administrator.

‘Jibmusil’ Shared Offices

Alicorn’s technology has extended beyond internal operations to be offered to a variety of business partners, similar to Amazon’s strategy of commercializing its server technology as AWS. For example, KT Estate, the property management subsidiary of KT Group, has invested in and applied Alicorn’s technology for office management. Likewise, GS, one of Korea’s leading conglomerates, utilizes Alicorn’s solution for managing its shared office spaces. Furthermore, Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, Korea’s largest hotel and resort group, operates workation offices connected to its lodging facilities in Jeju using Alicorn’s technology.

The fitness industry has also recognized the value of Alicorn’s technology. SpoAny, which operates over 120 fitness centers, launched the fully unmanned ‘SpoAny Smart’ using Alicorn’s technology, setting a new benchmark for unmanned fitness operations. Additionally, ‘Jibmusil,’ the innovative shared office concept designed for remote workers and spread across residential areas, has highlighted the adaptability and scalability of Alicorn’s solutions in diverse settings.
